With a 375kW/600Nm Ferrari-developed V6, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio isn't exactly underpowered, but the Italian luxury marque is reportedly planning to add a whole stable of ponies to its performance halo car.
Sources have told Mopar Insiders the company is planning to launch a limited-edition model in late June to help celebrate the automaker's 110th birthday.
The new Giulia Quadrifoglio variant will reportedly wear the company's iconic GTA badge and as such — the A stands for Allegerita or Italian for lightened — the car will be about 20 kilograms lighter than the regular manual.

Perhaps even more significantly, the Quadrifoglio's 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine has been retuned to deliver around 460kW, or about 85kW more than the standard model.
An eight-speed automatic transmission will reportedly be fitted as standard.
Production of the Quadrifoglio GTA is said to be limited to a short run with European sales a certainty. Availability for other markets is unclear at this stage.
